Since 2020, Gui has dedicated himself to ESG and Stakeholder Capitalism as a consultant, professor, and events organizer, leveraging 30 years of experience leading nonfinancial stakeholder relations with Fortune 500 companies in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America.
Gui is the head of Stakeholder Capitalism at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), organizer of the Stakeholder Capitalism Forum, and stakeholder governance consultant for B-Lab’s BMB multinationals.
His mandate for almost 30 years with Fortune 500 companies was planning, investing, governing, managing, and engaging diverse stakeholders such as governments, international organizations, NGOs, think tanks, communities, and the press. I led corporate affairs departments at Nike, Renault-Nissan, and Alcatel.
Gui has built teams and plans and proved across very different regions and industries that investing in including relevant stakeholders in communication, relations, and governance is the best system to support well-informed decisions that, in return, reduce risks and increase competitiveness.
Gui has participated in for/nonprofit boards in the US, Latin America, and EMEA. He has also built and chaired two associations in Brazil, one representing the sporting goods industry and the other government relations professionals. On all occasions, Gui was directly involved in successfully demonstrating positive outcomes for involved stakeholders, including the shareholders.
Educational Background: BA at PUC SP, Master’s in Marketing at the ESPM, Master’s in International Relations at the TUFTS University Fletcher School, Executive Education in the European Union at the College of Europe, and Leadership and Governance at the INSEAD.
